Robert A. Kinsley is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kinsley Construction, Inc., a company that he founded in 1963. At the beginning of its conception, Kinsley Construction initially performed site development, concrete construction and paving in and around the York, Pennsylvania area. In the mid-1970’s the firm entered the heavy and general construction and design/build sector. Today, Kinsley Construction is active in south central Pennsylvania and Maryland in the construction and design/build of industrial, commercial and institutional facilities and federal highway construction. Bob is also the managing general partner of Kinsley Equities, a Kinsley family partnership, which is the owner/developer of industrial, commercial and residential properties in south central Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Bob is a board member of numerous professional and community organizations. Professionally, Bob formerly served on the Board of Directors of Mercantile Safe Deposit and Trust Co., Baltimore, Maryland, Ruscilli Construction Co., Columbus, Ohio and D&E Communications, Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Within the community, Bob was a board member of South George Street Community Partnership and is currently serving as Chairman on the Board of Trustees for York College of Pennsylvania.
Bob feels that he sets the stance for a high standard of direction for the company. He spends a lot of his time monitoring the quality and progress of projects by visiting the sites on a regular basis. Bob believes that his honesty, integrity and enthusiasm enable him to be a mentor for those around him. He attributes the longevity of the company to the employees and the vast knowledge and experience that each one brings to the company. He has instilled the principal that commitment to customer satisfaction is of utmost importance in every Kinsley project. Bob believes the motto “Setting the Standard” captures the essence of the company, its employees and projects.
